Reference Services
Reference Services provides personalized assistance with the Libraries' expanding array of resources through the reference assistance desk, teaching library research skills, and through consultation on advanced research projects. Services are provided by professional librarians and are available during most hours which the library is open. DIALOG Searches
Through DIALOG, the University Libraries offer no-charge computerized literature searches to all University of Evansville faculty, administrators, and upper-level students in any major. This service is provided to researchers affiliated with the University of Evansville. Requests made by those not affiliated with UE will not be acknowledged.
To initiate a request, complete the DIALOG Online Search Request Form. You will be contacted to confirm your request, via phone or e-mail, by the reference librarian who will conduct the literature search. This form must be submitted at least two working days before the search can be conducted. Though not required, requesters are invited to be present when the online search is conducted. University Libraries reserve the right to refuse to search Dialog databases readily available in our library.
For students who may be unsure of the correct terminology needed to retrieve the best information possible, it is recommended that the course instructor be consulted. Back
Reference Collection
The Reference Collection consists of more than 3,000 reference book titles and over 60 current index, abstract and full text database subscriptions in electronic and paper form. Back
